Podtacular Rec vs Buddy System Gaming: Results! (Part 1)

On July 25th, the Podtacular Rec Clan had its second clan match against the guys over at Buddy System Gaming. BSG is a newer community devoted on linking players together and keeping a friendly and fun environment on Xbox Live. If you would like, you can visit their site @ buddysystemgaming.com!

The teams played a total of 7 matches. 2 of them are mixers, in which each community mixes their players so we all get to play with each other. After the mixers, the two teams played a best out of 5 series. Let's see how it went!

Mixer 1 - Hog Mania!

A random game that BSG downloaded called Hog Mania? Sounded like fun. This was surely a crazy game, with warthogs EVERYWHERE! You couldn't walk too far before you were turreted down, trust me.

This Team Slayer gametype spawned you temporarily invisible for about 5 seconds. A small thing that was pretty nifty. Each player spawned with a shotgun and a magnum. Warthogs of all kind were scattered throughout the map, along with equipment and weapons. Needless to say, you probably aren't going to live long if you're playing this game. After some crazy repetitive killing (and UnrealCh13f) driving the warthogs into the mancannon that sends you off the ledge, the game finally came to an end.

Red Team wins: 100-66.

A more classic deathmatch, as requested by Buddy System Gaming. It was a fun match, not too much to report here. Foo Mo Jive had to drop out so BSG dropped a guy to play 5v5. I think it was JABADAPOLLARD's harsh words that sent the Foo Mo crying. JABA: "8 kills foo mo, thats a new record for you!". Lol, just kidding! Anyways, Red Team was trailing by 10 points for most of the match, as Blue team had a strong grip of the map that we would break time after time.

Blue Team wins: 50-40.

Alright, so here was our first game! Both teams fought a tough match, with great communication....well, from the BSG team at least. Meanwhile on the Podtacular side...

"THIS IS COMPLETELY SERIOUS DONT DIE"

"OMG [insert player's name] is a terrible driver!"

"They just said I was coming through the birth canal. WTF?!"

Yeah, so it went from communication to utter confusion. Especially when JABA was signed out (?). BSG got the first capture and then played an unbreakable defense for the remainder of the game. Cashmere got a really sick stick on UnrealCh13f and my warthog. A curving stick while we were at full speed that ended up sending us right over the ledge. Not to mention a hilarious call out by the BSG team while I was coming through the base in the back "We've got one coming through the birth canal."

BSG wins: 3-0
BSG winning series: 1-0

Game 2 - Team Snipeball on Snipestruct (Modified Construct)

This was a new game that I hadn't tested yet. Team Oddball with Sniper Rifle start, Beam Rifles scattered on the map. There were spike grenades too, a lot of them (thanks to me). There were also 2 possible Oddball spawn points. If it were to reset it could either respawn bottom middle or top middle.

BSG started out the game strong, snatching the ball and holding an iron grip of the top level. Meanwhile I was struggling to get any kills at all, while the rest of the Podtacular guys would try to pick off their amazing defense. Unfortunately BSG's stronghold of the map overwhelmed us.
