Yesterday, 343 Industries announced the release date for the Game of the Year edition of Halo 4. This edition of Halo includes the War Games map pass, the Champions Bundle DLC and new exclusives to this edition including weapon and armor skins, emblems, avatar items and themes. The Halo Universe is massive and envelops a wide range of entertainment and fandom, whether it be the Halo mythos, to machinima, to cosplayers. While Halo is a mature rated game, it doesn’t mean that there are those of the younger audience to be left out. One, perhaps under-recognized corner of the Halo Universe suitable for all ages is the collectables like Halo Mega Bloks and McFarlane toys. Three weeks have passed since the start of the Pax Prime 2013 weekend hanging out with the Ready Up Live crew. Our weekend started with our flight Wednesday morning out to Seattle, packing a Tahoe full of people and luggage, and running out to our first dinner destination, Wingdom. From there, the weekend unfolded with pre-Pax parties, sight-seeing excursions, the Halo 4 Global Championship, the show floor, panels and post-Pax goodbyes. We also had the pleasure of meeting up with GrifballHub, HaloGAF, Beyond Entertainment and our favorite Halo Waypoint staffers. Last week marked a big milestone for Microsoft and Xbox as the Xbox One hit full production mode. In response, Xbox has officially stated that the Xbox One will be available November 22, 2013 in 13 markets; eight years after the launch of the Xbox 360. The Halo 4 Global Championship was the biggest Halo tournament to date featuring some of the worlds best Halo players. In a moment of a crowd-cheering Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington during Pax Prime, a victor was crowned the Halo 4 Global Champion. Thousands of participants played for their chance at the $200,000 grand prize, but the one person who showed their skills were the definition of a champions was Aaron “Ace” Elam.
