Despite Waypoint being down during the normally slated time for the bulletin‘s release, one got released a day later dropping information about the Halo 4 progression system. It is similar to Reach’s progression system where you gain Spartan Ranks based on your experience. Sorry pro players, no skill-based ranking system. There’s also information about loadouts, visual customization, specializations, challenges, and commendations. There’s also a special former co-host who makes an appearance in this show. Enjoy

Today, 343 Industries unveiled a sneak peek at one of the terminal videos hidden within the most anticipated blockbuster game of the year, “Halo 4.” The video offers never-before-seen insights into the story behind the Covenant’s invasion of Requiem, the mysterious Forerunner world that serves as the backdrop for Master Chief’s epic adventure in “Halo 4.”
The video is available now on Halo Waypoint at Halo 4 Terminal: Jul ‘Mdama. Players will be able to find additional terminal videos as they explore the world of Requiem and progress through the “Halo 4” campaign.

October 5th premiered the live-action series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The series starts off with Colonel Thomas Lasky receiving the distress call from Cortana that was transmitted out at the end of Halo 3. We flash back to Lasky’s time at Corbulo Academy of Military Science as a cadet and see first hand the trials he is going through. His feelings about the civil war with the Insurrectionists and disregard for the chain of command has put tension between him and the rest of his squad. While he struggles through the academy, with his mother’s and brother’s military records hanging over his head, he is also experiencing drastic side effects of cryo training. Will Lasky find the strength and resolve to make it through the academy? Enjoy

Judging by the title of this show, you can probably conjure a guess that there’s flood involved in this episode, in which case you’re right. This week’s bulletin features many things including details about the new Flood mode in War Games, including all possible multiplayer medals you can earn for the game mode. Among the flood of information, the final two maps have been revealed though YouTube videos: Abandon, which is a new mid-sized map great for 4v4 games and Meltdown, which is vaguely familiar to Ice Fields from Halo: PC. We have a trailer for the Mantis as well featuring all the functions, including an interesting stomp animation. Finally, for all of you audiophiles out there, there is a remix contest going on with some pretty nice prizes that you can participate in. Today featured the premiere of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a story about a cadet: Thomas Laskey and his struggle through Corbulo Academy. The comradery with his fellow cadets along with his feelings about the fight with the Insurrectionists puts him in an uncomfortable position, especially with his mother’s and brother’s reputation to live up to.
