Signed RvB Freelancer Poster and More

Podtacular is holding its first auction for a couple of things that we picked up at Halo Fest last year. I was finally able to get the posters unpacked and get everything else here a month or so ago, but it’s up for grabs now. There is a signed Red vs Blue Freelancer poster, a Halo Legends Cortana poster, and a Halo Fest in the pack. There are two of them up for auction on ebay and they both start at $20.00. Bidding ends on Saturday afternoon and all proceeds go to benefit Child’s Play. You can get one here or here.

Podtacular 300: 7th Year Anniversary

Today marks a very special occasion for us. Seven years ago, Mike Funk (aka foomojive) started this podcast and is the reason we are standing here where we are today. I have had the honor and the privilege to follow in his footsteps and keep Podtacular going, but neither of us would have been able to do so without the support of the staff who have tread the path and the listeners that support the show. Unfortunately, not everyone who has played a special part in the Podtacular history books was able to make it, but they deserve honor none-the-less. We plan on having everyone on at some point in the near future so we can play catch up, but for now, this will have to do:

  • foomojive – Founder and Host
  • Spelchek – Co-host
  • JVB – Co-host and Community Manager
  • Dialpex – Website Administrator and Community Manager
  • CapnKrunk – Website Administrator
  • ChuckieJ – Community Manager
  • Lancelot – Host
  • GLewis – Co-host
  • BrentGamer – Co-host

These individuals have shaped Podtacular into the podcast and community that it is today, and they deserve all of our thanks and gratitude. Join us for this very special episode as we take a look back at our history and look to what the future holds. See you star-side and Keep on Fraggin’ Trucks!

Podtacular 299.2: Halo 4 Comic Con

This past week was Comic Con and we got even more goodies about the game and the fiction. While we haven’t had the time to review every piece of video footage from Comic Con, we want to at least touch on some of the basics. The Special Halo 4 Xbox 360 was announced and showed off at the Campaign and Multiplayer panel. It looks a lot better than the Reach one and I’ve already pre-ordered it. Before Comic Con, we had a massive influx of Behind the Scenes videos and interviews from the set of Forward Unto Dawn. Enjoy

Podtacular 299.1: Halo 4 Forge

We’re back a little earlier than expected because of some pretty sweet info that came out during RTX. We got our first glimpse of Halo 4 Forge and all of the extra features they were willing to reveal. Many of the things presented are features that will make forging maps that much easier. We have object highlighting, duplication, locking, magnets, and player trait zones to feast our appetites with on the new forge system. There are also three Forge dedicated maps shipping with the game: each with their own texture pallets and styles (here’s hoping to a human and covenant theme). There’s also rumor of a Halo 2 Anniversary edition in the works, but would we really want that? Enjoy
