There has been a movement to get everyone to play Halo 3 for nostalgia’s sake. Well, today is that day! While I’m having fun at PAX East, I won’t be able to join in the festivities, but you should hop on and get some games in with some other Halo fans that have helped promote the movement. If you get lucky and run into Greenskull, you might even get an avatar code. Details can be found on his YouTube channel.
While we wait for more Halo 4 information to come down the pipe, we take some time to talk about some things going on in the community. The two big talking points discussed on the show are the non-informative responses we received form 343i and the end of the Reach API and online file share. Not that we’re trying to complain, but with 343i taking the reins of Halo, they are legitimate concerns that we have. Enjoy

On today’s show, we pull out the dusty mailbag and read your comments on the show’s we’ve had over the past couple of weeks. Needless to day, there are lots of opinions and questions out there about the Halo universe and Halo 4. We also have special guest Rob Imbs (Just Rob) who is making a film, Game Changers , based on two professional Halo players who are best friends pursuing different lives around gaming. Being one of the most controversial things in Reach, there’s a lot to say: not just about armor lock, but armor abilities in general and how they have evolved in Halo. There exists a definite split between those who love armor lock and use it, and those who won’t even touch it with a 9-and-a-half foot pole. The competitive scene is all excited about what was revealed in the Halo 4 news explosion this week: in particular, the return of the BR. However, the future of Halo making an appearance in the MLG Pro Circuit is on the fence. While 343i did appeal to the professional side of e-sports by introducing zero-bloom and bleed-through, there is a lacking presence in the Halo MLG scene.
