Podtacular 265: CEA Multiplayer Speculation

This week, we have JVB on the show, the previous co-host of Podtacular. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the recording, so a lot of the one-on-one conversation we had at the beginning of the show was lost. In a nutshell, JVB has continued to put out the Post Game Report over at Talking About Games, he has, since leaving Podtacular, he has started The Bad Dudes Lifecast and his own solo podcast. He is also the community manager over at Entertainment Consumers Association. We also have late guest hosts Kete from The Running Riot and Rukizzel from the Waypoint forums. The remaining of the show that we managed to record includes us talking about the latest Halo Bulletin, which we plan to do on a weekly basis on future episodes. Finally, we talk about the multiplayer maps we will see in Halo CEA. Enjoy

Half Way ‘Round the World

Sorry for the delay on getting this out; my week’s been hectic.  This week’s Halo Bulletin comes all the way from the Tokyo Game Show.  There’s some discussion on what they showed and demoed there along with two new videos.  The first video is yet another sound comparison and the second is the B-Roll from Breakneck, the Headlong remake that we saw IGN post a few weeks ago.

Podtacular 264: Community Collaboration

Shownotes
One thing video games are good at is bringing people together, even if they are hundreds of miles away. Halo, on the other hand, not only does this well, but provides a vast variety of ways to enjoy the game, which leads to many different kinds of communities. In this episode, two other great communities are represented: Grifball Hub and Halo Waypoint. We are joined by community leaders Goosechecka and Pup from the Hub, and Rukizzel from Waypoint. Enjoy

That Frozen Familiar Feeling

Last night, bs angel delighted us with this week’s Halo Bulletin, which highlight the Prisoner remake: Solitary.  It’s interesting to see how different the map looks, but it plays almost exactly the same from it’s Halo: CE counterpart.  Playlist details are now out on what changes we will see on the October 4 playlist update.  Go have a read.

Community Collaboration (Submit)

This week, we will be recording with a few people from GrifballHub and Rukizzel from the Waypoint Forums.  We will talk about how Halo has helped build so many different communities and how they are all intertwined with each other.  We’ll be reading your tales from the foxhole, talk about any customs you send in, and some of the random e-mails sitting in my inbox.  Recording is Friday.
