It’s the season of Haloween and there’s some spooky stuff happening in MCC, infecting playlists, challenges and undoubtedly, community content to come. Joining us for our little adventure though the latest community update and content is Andrew from TeamRespawn, on of the more well-known Halo Wars communities. Although the RTS games aren’t 343’s main focus area lately, there’s surprisingly a solid player-base logging in and playing matches every week.
It’s Machinima Monday time, in which we have Machinimas, on a Monday. Makes sense right? Well this week we have something a little different than usual. This week, we have a meme.
If you’ve seen the title of this Machinima, then chances are you know the meme. If not, don’t worry, I’ll link the meme at the end. Anyways, ‘Lemme Smash’ in this case is a Halo Machinima that’s basically a funny recreation of the original meme, with pure laughs at its core. It’s not a direct copy of the original meme either, which just makes it even funnier.
Unfortunately, whilst I’d usually put a bit more information and a description for the Machinima, I can’t do too much in this case. If I speak about the video content, it’ll ruin the video content, so instead, feel free to let us know your thoughts about it on one of our socials after you’ve finished it.
This first video isn’t actually the only ‘Lemme Smash’ Halo Machinima created by The Vengeful ‘Vadam. There’s actually an entire playlist of them totalling in at 7 different ‘Lemme Smash’ videos. You can check out that playlist here.
As with most Halo content creators, The Vengeful ‘Vadam has a ton of Halo related content on their YouTube channel, so I’d recommend checking those out. As promised, here’s the link to the original meme video, right here.
It’s been about three months since we last covered the latest fan project updates so it’s time to dust off the news from fan games and fan mods across the Halo community. It certainly a bit of a smaller update this time around, no doubt to school and universities starting back up, the pandemic and general life priorities, but we were treated with a very special sneak peek during the live recording of this show. Ignivirex from Project Autumn surprised us by dropping an exclusive first look at some of the armor that’s been developed for the project. We’re certainly excited to see development across all these projects, and if you’d like to hear from any of the dev teams, let us know and we’ll get them on the show! As always, we go through the normal gambit of Halo and community news.
Machinima Monday is here once again to grace the internet with an awesome Halo themed Machinima feature. This weeks feature has a name that’s all too close to home these days. That’s right, the Halo feature of this week is called ‘Lockdown’.
‘Lockdown’ was uploaded by EnderKnight and created by EnderKnightStudios. There was a large amount of talent that came together for this project and it certainly shows. The episode combines a lot of comedy with a serious story, so that’s of course a fun combination to watch.
The description for ‘Lockdown’ is as follows:
Agent Orange, a strange but effective soldier, is tasked with recovering intel for the C.I.A. from Lt. Jameson and his cyber terrorists…..
One thing that really helps ‘Lockdown’ shine is the camera work. It really captures the serious tone of the story and helps keep the story seem professional in between the fun and comedic dialogue.
EnderKnight has a whole host of Halo Machinimas and other Halo related videos on their channel, so if you liked ‘Lockdown’ I’d fully recommend checking out their other Halo content.
The final flight of MCC is just around the corner as Halo 4 is undergoing the final tests before Halo Insiders are able to get their hands on Halo 4 for PC. Make sure your Insider profile is up-to-date as everyone in the program will receive an invite. We’ve got our normal roundup of community news, official announcements and community creations.
It’s been a fair few weeks since the last Machinima Monday, but worry not, as it’s back again. This Monday feature in which we feature a cool Halo themed Machinima is this week showing off ‘Humanity’s Defiance Episode 1’.
Produced by Apollo Digital, who is known for ‘Short films, Cinematic Media Content, and other stuff’ comes ‘Humanity’s Defiance Episode 1’. This Machinima really does speak for itself in terms of its name. It’s your classic humans vs aliens battle, but with some extra goodness, so there’s of course no better game to use than Halo Reach.
The description for ‘Humanity’s Defiance Episode 1’ is as follows:
4 long months of war, the fall of Harvest came to an end in August 2526. The surviving spartans and marines are scattered, but won’t prevent them to make another stand.
Episode 1 released in September 2020, not long before this article was written. That being said, I certainly hope there are more episodes to follow, as the production value is great and the team that worked on episode 1 is extensive. It’s certainly a series that’s worth keeping an eye on in the future.
Apollo Digital has a nice mix of other Halo Machinimas and none Halo related videos on their channel, so I’d recommend checking them out too.
We’re back with the latest community spotlight and the release of Halo 3: ODST after taking the week off. DJ has also survived the West Coast fires and is back in prime form. In addition to the routine playlist calendar updates and community news, we have a few new products including a really cool official ODST cosplay guide.
