Machinima Monday: Frequency

Feeling a little nostalgic tonight, so pulling out one of my personal favorites that was produced by the Halo machinima “giant”, Hollywood Halo. I’m just going to let the video speak for itself this time. Enjoy!

Streamer Showcase Saturday: PixelPeet

Welcome back Halo fans to our latest article series, Streamer Showcase Saturday! Last week, we showcased our first streamer showcase, which you can find here. This week we’re featuring yet another streamer on Twitch who isn’t a stranger to streaming, but his stream setup could be described as a bit strange (in a good way of course).

PixelPeet has been a consistent Halo streamer and you may have even caught him in the last Halo Bowl (not on our team though)! Peet has one of the most unique setups that we’ve seen and he’s always looking for ways to improve his stream and engage with his audience. He’s been streaming a mix of Apex and Halo recently, but he’s been quite the Halo streamer for the past couple of years with plenty of subscribers.

Peet streams on Twitch just about daily and while his schedule says “Every day around 9AM PDT”, don’t let that fool you as you’ll see him streaming late into the evening. You can subscribe to PixelPeet on Twitch and follow him on Twitter.

Podtacular 714: Machinima in Halo

At Halo: Outpost Discovery, we had the opportunity to host several panels with Halo machinimators. The Halo universe has exceptional lore for people to build on and the tools to craft inspirational stories. In coordination with The Hub, we’re happy to have all these guests on the show: Ay Star, Pep, Beaminator, AngelOnMyShoulderProductions, GrumpyElite, OutletChief729, EchoLightMedia & Matteoarts. We talked about their start in machinima, their process for creating machinima and their wishes for support with Halo Infinite and the possibilities that could be supported with mods.

Machinima Monday: Contrition

With Halo: Reach making a resurgence in the community, we thought it would be appropriate to showcase a recent Machinima. This one comes from a relatively small machinimator, but the quality of this machinima definitely shows some good story telling capability, editing skills, voice acting, etc. This machinima falls in the realm of drama and comes in at over an hour long, so strap in.

Streamer Showcase Saturday: Real Life Spartan

Happy 2020 and the year of Halo Infinite! This year, we’re picking up our efforts on showcasing more community content, while still talking about news and community discussions. We introduced Machinima Mondays last year and we’re introducing another highlight series: the Streamer Showcase Saturday. Every (or most) Saturday, we will pick a streamer from any platform to showcase and shout-out who has a quality streaming setup, energetic demeanor and viewer engagement. Without any more delays, allow us to introduce our first streamer.

While we have several friends of the show who stream, we wanted to highlight someone who isn’t as close to us to show in good faith, that we’re putting bias aside to highlight some truly entertaining streamers, and this first one has the energy that we hope every Halo fan has for the franchise. Introducing: Real Life Spartan!

While he is not new to the streaming game, his name has caught our attention as we’ve been seeing more about his streams since Halo: Outpost Discover (no direct correlation). Real Life Spartan, “RLS” has an energetic personality on camera and combined with his home-made Spartan armor (with helmet at times), makes for a unique viewing experience. Touting over 500 subscribers, RLS’s viewers are engaging and very supportive of the streamer as he recently received over 100k bits from a viewer equating to $1000. RLS’s stream presentation also includes clean transitions, green-screen scenes where he’ll step away from his gaming center, and several props he’ll employ.

RLS streams on Twitch and has a community Discord server along with a YouTube channel (you can find those links on his Twitch page). While he has no set schedule posted on his page, RLS streams regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and has been recently streaming MCC. You can follow and subscribe to Real Life Spartan on Twitch and follow him on Twitter.
