Podtacular 671: Fortifying Stories

This weeks drops in our lap a little surprise for Halo Wars 2’s birthday, a brand new map Fort Jordan, a spiritual successor to Fort Dean from the original Halo Wars. We also have our latest community spotlight that dropped within an hour of us starting, but it’s filled with impressive community content that is worth checking out. Our topic for the week covers what the community would like to see the narrative corner of the Halo universe dive into next and it brought up a couple of interesting discussions.

Podtacular 670: First Quack at Discovery

For this episode, we are pleased and very fortunate to have two special guests behind Halo: Outpost Discovery: Event Programming Manager DJBlue PDX and Head of Halo Consumer Products John Friend. In this exclusive interview, you’ll get a glimpse of how Outpost Discovery was conceptualized and what is being done to bring the Halo Universe to life like never before! We don’t want to spoil the contents of the show so you’ll just have to take a listen to hear what new bits of info we received. While there are still things to remain shrouded in mystery until the outpost arrives, we got a small glimpse at what the UNSC will bring to Earth this summer. You can find all the information you need to know about Outpost Discovery at HaloOutpostDiscovery.com.

Podtacular 669: Outpost Dispatch No. 1

This episode is a little out of time from our previous live show with DJBlue PDX and John Friend. As we’re awaiting review, we got our first drop of new information regarding Halo: Outpost Discovery. We have two characters that have been revealed that will be present at the Outpost to enhance the experience: Spartan Owen, who we were introduced to in Halo: Battle Born and Spartan Hazel. We have a few community updates as well.

Podtacular 668: MCC Wishes Evolved

This week saw another MCC update come across our consoles this week adding the much needed IP masking and some social matchmaking changes requested by the community. In addition to some major additions in January, we asked our community what additional things would we like to see in the future added to MCC. This week’s Community Spotlight features some Valentine’s Day goodness, which also adds a cool name plate to MCC as well.

Podtacular 665: Conceptualizing Infinite

Continuing to ramp up 2019, we receive our first Community Spotlight of 2019 with the latest addition to the community team, Snickerdoodle filling us in on some community creations shared on the Waypoint forums. It’s no question that the community has some very talented artists out there, which strangely enough goes with our proposed question for this episode. While we didn’t have many responses to our question and the one we stole from Unyshek last week, we did have a small conversation about what we would like to see when more Infinite concept art comes out. We will be off next week while Dust Storm is away on work travel, but stay tuned to the topic for the next episode and an announcement of our first guest of 2019.
