During Pax West 2018, we sat down with the legendary collector couple TheLegendary117 and MrsLegendary117 to talk about why they are such avid collectors of Halo gear and what it takes to keep up with their endless hunt for the rarest of items. Both of them have been fans of the franchise for years and have been a part of the community in various ways by promoting the work of others, hosting local LAN parties, helping out other collectors, and being active members in other parts of the greater community. Perhaps they’ll have their own version of the Halo Museum to showcase their items along with community created content.

This week at Gamescom, Inside Xbox took us behind the scenes with 343 Industries of the development on Halo: Fireteam Raven. Available at all Dave and Busters in the US and continuing its way across the world, the arcade experience was brought to life through Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. Although it came out after we recorded the show, GrimBrother One highlights Fireteam Raven in the latest Canon Fodder. We also have the second installment of the standalone Halo Spotlight articles where community creations are featured, and we discuss Podtacular’s outcome in the Drunken Halo HCS 3v3 tournament.
While we’re light again on the news front, we do have another Community Update to cover. This week, more MCC Insider play test times, updates on competitive Halo including HCS, Microsoft Store tournaments and the Halo Wars Championship League, update on Halo: Fireteam Raven deployment around the work, and some other radar blips.
The community spotlight now has its own home on Halo Waypoint as this week Grim debuts the Spotlight article series featuring the latest artwork, screenshots and videos from Halo fans alike. Once again, a lull in Halo news and a demanding work schedule for Dust leaves us with little to talk about this week.
The day has finally come when all registered MCC Insiders can finally get their hands on the latest test build. This comes with a number of significant enhancements and changes to the game that, while making some new interesting bugs, brings forth a lot of desired changes.
