Teased earlier this week, the first free content update for Halo 5: Guardians is slated for this month and includes support for Big Team Battle and new REQs. Supporting the BTB game mode is four different Forge maps made in conjunction with the Community Cartographers. Among the 48 new requisitions are the Shinobi Armor Set, Tundra and Woodland vehicle skins and Shove It assassination. The Battle of Shadow and Light update comes out this month for free. New game means new format; well, more of a refined format. For the next few shows, we’ll be covering news, campaign missions, multiplayer maps, game modes, user submissions and a topic of interest. This is a more condensed version of how Podtacular used to run its shows and we hope this format keeps things moving and is more entertaining to listen to.
This week we talk about the latest Halo news, Osiris mission, March on Stormbreak, Warzone and recap the midnight launch events we attended. We have a short interview with Tim Longo who was at the New York City event.

The game has been out for less than two weeks and 343 is already showing us new things to wet our appetites with this month for Halo 5. In their latest Community Update, Bravo treats us to many goodies including new REQs, Big Team Battle maps created by the Community Cartographers, and updates/fixes to the game based on community feedback. Thanks to REQ Pack purchases in Halo 5: Guardians, the prize pool for the Halo World Championship, the first official Halo Championship Series event for Halo 5, has increased to $1.5 million. The prize pool is expected to grow as more REQ Pack sales come in. HWC launches qualifier events next month with the finals scheduled for March 2016 with eight teams competing from around the world. The wait is over and Halo 5: Guardians is here for all! Whether you’ve dived in to experience the latest in Master Chief’s saga or put your skills to the test in the Arena, the overall reaction has been very positive compared to past 343 titles. We’ve got our hands on it and our first impressions as we start to dive into the game.
