If you’re a long time Halo fan or a more recent inductee to the brotherhood of Spartans, the story can be a bit confusing to keep up with. Unless you’re GrimBrother One, it’s likely you’ve forgotten some of the finer details or just need a quick refresher. In light of Halo 5: Guardians hitting our Xbox Ones in just over three months, Unyshek has taken fifteen minutes to recap the main story line of the Halo setting the stage for Halo: Combat Evolved and going through Halo 4’s somewhat confusing narrative.
The finale of Hunt the Truth finds Ben Giraud with a treasure trove of information on the attacks at the embassy on Bliss involving the Master Chief. He’s going all out with his story, taking everything he’s discovered and going full distribution on prime time. As he’s done in the past, he transfers all the data he just mined to Ray for safe keeping and gets a hold of Anthony Petrovsky to give him the time and place things will go down. Petra Janecek checks up on what he found only to learn of his last ditch effort to bring down ONI bit he also takes a moment to thank her for everything she’s done for him. Now the only question that remains is will it be enough this time. We would like to thank Toa Freak again for being with us to the end of this extraordinary series.
With the lead up to E3, Game Informer delivers a dump truck load of Halo information revealing more about the campaign we’ll be playing in October and hinting at an all new multiplayer experience that we’ll get to see at the expo. We get full details confirming the members of Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris unveiling the identify of the red Spartan as Olympia Vale. A new multiplayer map, Fathom was revealed being underwater inside a glass dome. There’s a lot of other campaign and multiplayer related info that will hopefully be expanded upon at E3 including the new Artemus Tracking System equipped by Osiris.
Our second to last episode covering the Hunt the Truth campaign, we find Ben about ready to give up on his hunt when he’s attacked by ONI and saved by FERO. With renewed commitment after FERO told Ben she was about to risk her life to bring down ONI, he steps up and pursues the lead given to him by Petra, telling FERO to hold off on her attack. Once on the planet Bliss, Ben heads straight for the coordinates in the middle of glassed wastelands. Narrowly escaping a glass storm, he reaches his destination finding an abandoned ONI relay station. What he finds is all the information he needs to corroborate Chief’s innocence on Biko and all the info on the actors, himself and John that he could ever want to finally bring ONI to justice. Again we are joined by Toa Freak from Halo Canon.
At the E3 2015 Xbox Press Briefing, 343 Industries announced an all new game mode for Halo 5: Guardians: Warzone. This new game mode takes Halo big team multiplayer to the next level incorporating 12 vs. 12 PvP combat mixed in with AI bosses as you take out enemy forces and control key bases on the map. The scoring is a mixture of PvP kills and objective completion within the game mode. Taking control of bases, eliminating AI bosses and killing other players all add victory points to your team’s score.
At the beginning of the match, you must first reclaim your base from the AI that control it. Once eliminated, you enter the battlefield where there are two Armories, one for each team, and a Garage. All three are open for either team to capture. Each base you capture provides another spawning location for you to re-enter combat. The armories allow you to request new weapons on the battlefield and the Garage allows you to spawn in vehicles. What you can request is all based on your individual level. This level is earned in the game session as you kill other players, capture bases and take out objectives. Once you requisition a vehicle, your level meter fills up again over time and on your performance. Requisition weapons and vehicles to maintain dominance over your opponent.
