introductions

Hey guyz it’s Arbitation here… (gamertag Chazzozz)

On V.I.P. in Valhala Get your V.I.P. a shotgun with lots of ammo and a
sniper. Get him to go in to the base with about one or two other guys.
With this strategy the V.I.P. can snipe anybody that he can see from the
doorway and if someone does get through he can just own them the shotty.
He is also protected against banshees and warthogs.

If you’re doing C.T.F. and you have just captured the enemies flag, go
into one of the side man-cannons and hide in one of the little open caves
that are along the side… Then get someone in a mongoose to come ‘rescue’
you and take you back to base, It also helps if you can have covering fire
from a warthog or a banshees.

KEEP ON STICKINTRUCKS

First off this is my first tip ever so hopefully it’s good.

When going off the mancannon I suggest dropping a bubble shield at the
exact time you go off, this is especially good for Narrows so won’t get
sniped. Also a good way to get rid of someone elses bubble shield is to
trow a grav lift right under this is very fun and always suprises your
enemy.

Peace out

Bubble Shield Tips: -For those frustrated with blowing yourself up whenever grenades and
bubble shields are involved, the following may help: you cannot throw
grenades through the shield when you are still halfway through it, instead
you must wait until you are ALL the way out before you launch your grenade
(unless someone is chasing you through the bubble shield and you are doing
it on purpose of course). -If you are stuck in a situation where you are on one side of the
shield and an enemy is on the other, remember that you CAN melee through
the shield. This is extremely useful when you know the opponent has low
shields and you are sure that you can get the kill without them getting
enough shots into you first.

hey guys its heavyfire grunt agien i have a funny pic on my file share that
involes a grunt, spike granade and a grunts chrouch the aftermath is
halareus and on another note have a kick ass thanks giving eating rosted
grunts and jackels

Hey guys its plasma qrenades and I think that the best way to dominate
valhalla is to have a good sniper sit by the pelican and take out enemies
coming off the man cannon and he can allow your team to get the spartan
laser which can come in very handy if the enemy is trying to use vehicles.
Also, if you need to pick up a few easy kills, the warthog is hard to stop
without heavy weapons so you can easily gain the lead.

Hey guys! HaloFreak bunny comming to you with a brief tip for 1 flag CTF on
Valhalla. You can walk right up the wall under the forward-facing man
cannon, so if you are on offense, have a guy climb up that, toss a few
nades over the side, then have more guys run in simultaneously from the
sides and the rear for a quick, devastating attack. Good luck and keep on
fraggin purpl-bellied whatever the heck it is…

Yowl here, even though Valhalla is not my favorite map it is definitely
kick-ass when it comes to CTF and Team Slayer. My tip is that because this
map is so big and you can see across the map from almost any vantage point,
always have a long-range weapon like a BR or a sniper. Don’t forget to
always keep some nades for when you are coming up on the other teams base
and it’s usually helpful to have a weapon that is helpful in close combat
i.e. Shotgun, AR. Also, when playing CTF, I think that you should stay
away from transporting your flag with a mongoose, your only good defense
is the luck of getting a splatter, stick to the warthog for transport.
Those are my tips for Valhalla. Keep on fragging mini vans, v-dubs,
chevelles, trucks, and mongeese.

Hey Podtacular,
Herroan09 here with a few multiplayer tips. First, after you spawn be sure to pick up a weapon as soon as possible, it
doesn’t matter what, but an automatic weapon or magnum is prefered. Its
always safe to keep an extra weapon in your arsonal so that as soon as you
empty your assualt rifle’s clip into your enemy, you don’t have to waste
time reloading. Simply change to your alternate weapon an finish the kill.
An alternate to this is to get your enemies shields down all the way with
your assault rifle, then toss a grenade into their vacinity, which
typically results in their death. Having a second weapon is simply a
second reassureance.

Second, study each map and as soon as the map starts head to your favorite
spot and grab your favorite ‘power weapon.’ For instance, I am a really big
fan of the Active Camo & Shotgun or Mauler combo, which makes The Pit my
favorite map, as far as weapon and powerup availability goes. As soon as I
spawn I run to the middle to get the active camo, being sure to avoid the
player who has undoubtedly picked up the rocket launcher, and head over to
one of the back corners and get a shotgun. You can also head to the ‘blue
room’ and grab the sword as an alternative.

Third, take advantage of your and your enemies surroundings. This
specifically points to Power Cores. I can’t count the times I would see a
sniper on Last Resort standing right next to a power core and just blow
him away. Watch where these lethal boxes spawn and try to lure your
enemies close to them, but watch out or the affect could back fire. But
there are also other objects that can come in a really big handy when
caught in a tight spot. Perfect example, I was playing a custom game with
a few friends on Sandtrap and I had happened to pick up a Gravity Hammer.
Unfortuneatly, right after that I ran into one of my friends who had
picked up a Spartan Laser. So, I attempted to run behind a warthog
(although it wouldn’t have done me any good anyway) as he started to scope
in and walk towards me. RIGHT before his later went off I slammed down the
hammer and sent the Warthog flying at his face. It smacked him, killed
him, and then counted it as suicide on his part!

Fourth, take advantage of your weapons. This is really general and
involves just noticing the obvious weaknesses and strengths of each
weapon. But it also involves using specials ‘effects’ against your
enemies. For instance, if you see a guy with a Brute Shot, throw a grenade
his way and its practically an instant kill. If they try to shoot back at
you it will blow up the grenade and kill them. Also, take advantage of the
melee feature of the Energy Sword. A lot of newer Halo 3 players haven’t
yet figured out that using the “B” button (on default button layout) to
melee down your enemy with your sword, is faster than a rush. It also
‘blocks’ your enemies rush giving you extra time to react. Get a friend
and practice sword fights. I did, and I pray for Swords on Rumble Pit
since its a sure win for me.

And lastly, take advantage of your ‘sticky weapons’ and melee ability. My
friends have started calling me the suicide bomber because I stick them so
much. Whenever I can, I grab spike or plasma grenades. Then if I walk into
a tight spot and know I can’t get out, I just run up to them, throw a
grenade (dying in the process) and listen to them scream “He did it
again!” And another great tool to get out of a tight spot is your melee
ability. Use it! In Halo 2 this had a great significance, but Halo 3 is a
whole new game. I have more melee kills than any other single weapon and
about 45% of my overall kills are from melee. It takes two melee hits to
kill your enemy, so all you have to do is get their shields half way down
and punch!

Love the show, keep up what you do guys! Keep fraggin trucks

hey guys me once again the grammatically incorrect shotgunfrEIndly, not
shotgunFriendly. anyways my tip for valhalla my favorite map, is for
drivers of the warthog. if you get stuck driving or choose to drive you
can be a extreme savior for your teammates during any match. what your job
in my mind in a match is to be ready to give support to any players who
need it. especially during territory, assault, and team slayer. my other
tip for valhalla is if you are the one with the splazer. if you have the
splazer dont waste your ammo on single players unless you are being told
to cause they have the flag or bomb. use the shots on mongeese, warthogs,
and banshees same thing with missile pod players. i guess what im saying
is that when you have a strong weapon or a vehicle know your position in
the team like if you have the warthog dont go chasing after one player for
no reason or if you have the missile pod dont waste its ammo on a person
long range trust me youll never hit them unless the person on the
receiving end is a total retard. so know your position and do that
position

anyways shotouts to centurion, Markus, MediocreSniper, eman sdrawkcab (for
your connivance its backwards name spelled backwards), and the rest of the
ODST Recon the best Bungie.net Private Group ever

Hey Podtacular,

What’s goin on? Well, I don’t really have any general tips, except for,
don’t play the “new players” playlist if you are really good at Halo.
These guys are trying to have fun and learn the game, and for someone to
come in and completely own them when you’re not really supposed to is not
cool.
Anyways, on to VALHALLA!! One of my favorite maps, next to Guardian. I
made an awesome race map on it. It will be on my file share soon.
Some of the greatest games ever have been played on Valhalla, including
the game that Podtacular won during the Humpday challenge.
I remember one time in the beta, I was playing Ninja Flag on Valhalla in a
custom game with 300% speed and 50% gravity. Ahh, what a great game.
Valhalla is an awesome map mostly because of it’s customization options.
It’s also a great war map where two teams can head-on collide with
mongooses and lasers and missle pods, oh my!

Basically, Valhalla is an epic map with lots of attributes and truly one
of Bungie’s greatest.

Well, that’s all I have for this show.

Shoutouts to everyone who has seen my first sig on the foruns and
encouraged me to make more! You guys rock!

Keep on fraggin’ trucks that truck frags that kiss grunts that hug
one-eyed green-backed alpacas that eat lemon-coated cupcakes at midnight
on the fourth of July.

Hey guys it’s The Bounties here
There are many ways to be at the top of the pack in this stage. First is
get in the banshee and take people out from there or take the missle pod
and take out the enemy banshee. If you don’t have a battle rifle then you
should get one as soon as possible because it will probably save your life
a couple times and if you do you should hang out by the fallen pelican
with the regenerator and take people out who drop from the man cannon. What i like to do is take the sniper rifle from my base and take the
mancannon to the mini camp where the bubble shield is and snipe from there
and deploy the bubble shield if your getting attacked. If you are in any
kind of vehicle always be listening to the beeping of a siren because that
means you are being shot at by a missile pod. So, to summarize all this,
never stand still listen to beeping and don’t get shot by a spartan laser.

I like to give a shout out to the podtacular zoo and tell them to keep on
zip zoppin zippydoos.

P.S. Is there such a thing as a woman cannon?

I know Maestergxl likes to horde the rockets, invis-ie, and shotgun. How
do you get there first to get these items and where are your favorite
camping spots?

My tip for Territories on Valhalla:

Starting off as the offensive team, stay in a group and try to take over
every territory one by one. I know some other people will beg to differ,
but I am finding out playing with my friends that you must hold ground
together in order to win.

Starting as defensive team: Have 2 people jump in a mongoose and take off
towards territory 1 (the closest to the opposite base). Do a driveby
where the passenger throws a grenade into the opposite team and begins to
AR them. This territory will most likely be taken anyways, but it will
spare you at least 30 seconds while the other team has to regroup. From
there, keep one man at every territory. If they are not able to hold it
and they die, two people must rush over, eliminate the opposition, then
resume defense. Shout-out to Rec E! You guys rock!

Hey guys, here’s a few tips for objective gametypes on Valhalla:
For defense on assault, park the warthog on top of the bomb planting area.
This will make it hard, if not impossible, for the other team to plant the
bomb. It can also be used to block entrances or parked in back with a guy
in the turret. You may also want to just stuff the base with vehicles to
slow down opponents. For capture the flag, just pile vehicles on and
around the flag.
For offense on CTF, drive one of your teammates in a Mongoose to the
opposing base. Have them grab the flag and launch off one of the
airlifts. Make sure they tell you which one they’re using. Once they
land, have your Mongoose ready for them and you can make a quick getaway. Before using this strategy, you may want to go into a custom game and test
to see exactly where the lifts deposit players. I’ve used this strategy
with my brother countless times and it seems to work at least half the
time.
That’s all I got for now; keep up the great work with the podcast.

I don’t get a chance to play Valhalla to often, however I do know some good
tips on how to stay alive, and more importantly rack up kills. If you are a
good sniper, make sure in the lobby to convince your teammates that you
should grab it at the start of the match. Chances are it’s always a race
to get it, and more than likely Bungie will curse you, and you will spawn
the furthest away. A good sniper is key to pulling ahead quickly. Try to
pair your sniper rifle with a BR, so that if you have landed a body shot,
and can’t get the second shot with the sniper, you can easily finish them
off with one BR shot to the face. If you do snipe, it is better to stay on
the sides of the map rather than rush the middle, b/c more than likely
there are 3 enemies and one laser pointed directly at you. Controlling
Vehicles can be very important to small 4v4 games. Usually my team has me
as a sniper, with one guy acting as a scout., and two guys riding around
in the warthog. The warthog will flush enemies out, for me to snipe, and
my buddy will watch my back. If you are stuck without the sniper or other
weapon you desire, before heading into combat take a quick pan of what the
enemy is doing in the center of the level. This often tells me rather to
mancannon to the center all Gung Ho, and push my way to the laser spawn,
or run out from the base below a quietly try to take out a vehicle. If the
other team has a mongoose or warthog in control, be sure to pick up a BR,
and a Plasma Pistol. The pistol will stop the engine, and more importantly
drop their shields. Allowing you to easily score a double or triple kill,
without destroying their vehicle. That could allow you and your teammates
to “commandeer” your foes ride. The shotgun is not all that effective on
this large map, however if your playing VIP, or protecting your allie who
has laser on the hill, this weapon can mean all the difference. In VIP
have your VIP grab the shotgun, and camp out in the cove. As long as you
can avoid the grenades, you will force them to run in and feel your
buckshot beatdown combo.
Thats all the tips I have about Valhalla,

But I would like to give a shout out to Chuckie J and all the members of
the Godtacular Bible study. Logan Payne for his addiction to WOW. Sqweryl
for Custom Saturdays. Gee Ma Knee 01 for his awesomeness, and as always
Foo Mo Jive and JVB for the great Podcast, and I swear Foo Mo is
unbeatable at Carcassonne…

Hey guys, Swift Ninja1 here with some tips for Valhalla. First of all, if
you get in the warthog at your base and drive it into the mancannon, be
careful because you will probably end up flipping out of the hog. Second,
for CTF games a good tactic is too hav four people get in the mongooses
and drive to the other base. When they get there they can take out
everyone at the base. Then you can hav three people waithing in your hog
drive to the base, take the flag, and drive back to scrore. This worked
for me many times. There are my tips. Keep on fraggin trucks
and mashed potatoes that have gone bad after three weeks, Swift Ninja1

Whats up podtacular? Dr Pepper 6pk here and ive got a few tips for
multiplayer

First of all know the maps, its important to know weapon placements, spawn
points, flag spawns, etc. The easiet way to do this is just to forge the
map, and scout around as the moniter. Knowing where everything is, is
important in any match bbecause you are aware of the map and all routes,
so you can protect your flag or help your teammates, because its not very
fun yelling into the mic “WHERES THE FLAG?!? I CANT FIND OUR FLAG” then
people yelling back “SHADDUP NOOB

Second of all get to know the weapons, such as they’re weaknesses and
strengths, It helps to know how you’re supposed to use a weapon or not and
how to counter them, for instance DONT try to counter the sniper with a
shotgun

Also remember to keep moving, strafing helps; use grenades before firing
upon someone, but most important of all communication. It may be hard to
communicate with the average player, but with the right amount of
teamwork, any team can overcome a team of uncordinated Brigadiers.

Thanks for reading and keep frogblasting the ventcore

The first thing you think of when in Valhalla is, “Wow that man cannon goes far.”. This strategy is often foiled by an enemy sniper with a steady aim at the other base. What I found is that if you spit up into two (for team slayer) and each pair goes off to the side. You can flank the other team from two sides and gain that ever powerful Spartan Laser. From here you could set yourself up with one pair on the side with the most cover and the other pair in the middle then overwhelm the team as they spawn in their base. Make sure you have a sniper. As they will quickly catch on. Proceed to taking over their base. Grabbing any weapon that could be used against you. Fall back to the middle and continue your slaughter against the other team. Giving them no position to attack. Except the man cannon which the team in the middle can easily take care of them with a few shots from any mid to long range weapon. This strategy may be carried over to shotty snipers, but the middle may be too open to stay in, the sides of the map would provide more cover.

Good Job on the show, keep up the Grrrreeeaaat work.

Keep on fraggin trucks

Too many players make the mistake of thinking that halo is all about who is
the best shooter out there.

Well, if you look at what makes the difference between a good player, and
a bad player. It’s 9 times out of 10, the player movement.
Of coarse you won’t win if you cannot hit the broad side of a mule, but
movement is essencial to halo.
When you are moving, there are variables you should be aware of. Be
thinking, how many players are infront of me? How many players are
behind me
? What weapons are secure, and what weapons are loose? What
range is your weapon optimized for
? How many grenades do you have and
what type???

All of these things determine how you should move. If you see 2 opposing
players around the corner just destroy your friend, and you have noone
else around, don’t turn that corner and try to pick up the single kill.
You will wind up just cutting even, or even worse, the opponent moved away
from harm as you round the corner, and you get nailed adding a point to the
opponent.

If you have opponents on both sides of you, and you don’t believe that you
have been detected yet. Avoid detection, and remove yourself from the
middle of them. Nothing, other then watching the rocket launcher being
taken from infront of you is worse then being surrounded.

When thinking about weapons, if you know your team has a sniper rifle, you
figure that there are about 2 on each map, unless its high ground, and
figure its not a smart idea to run in the open.
Also for weapons you are carrying, if you have an assault rifle, you don’t
want to be moving in the open spaces of valhalla, because you are just a
sitting duck for battle rifle and sniper rifle fire.

Grenades determines if you are going to swing around that corner. Throwing
a grenade around a corner with an enemy can give you the upper hand, and
many times is a great escape trick to at least break even if the player is
stupid enough to run through the grenades field of destruction.

Aside from that, just remember that running from combat and recharging
your shields is as good as a point off the opposing teams score. So do it
whenever you can. It will increase your score greatly.

Wrap up
