hey its Pr1v4teChurch here! and i have some tips for crater. well first thing you want to do is stay out of the way in those back rooms until the phantoms leave then stay on the turret(not turlet!)for as long as possible. thats pretty much it and save the power weapons(rockets, sniper and shotgun which i cant find. help?) until the only brutes level and save those fuel rods. Shout outs to DustStorm, Glewis, Guest host, Obsidianchao, Domaku, Arbitation, Samus 117, Old Regime and anyone else i forgot.
Church out!
Hey guys, I have one BIG tip for Firefight on Alpha site: Stand in the elevator. Hunters and brutes will try to melee you through the glass, but your teammates should make quick work of them. But watch out when the catch skull turns on! That’s all, no long keep on fraggin’ this time. Peace out. Oh, also my parents gave me the banhammer so I won’t be on for a while. I will be on my computer, though.
Oy, this moose0030 here are some things you need to know to survive on Crater and Alpha Site.
Crater
Don’t rip off the turret until the last wave ends. It will help against drones and most enemies. ripping it off at the end last wave will let you have 2 turrets one mounted and one mobile
If you hear beeping you’re crazy and should visit your local psychologist.Actually that beeping lets you know that the enemies are coming from the side doors
That’s all i have for Crater
Alpha Site
The basis of this map is that it is crossfire in the middle.Have your team split up half on the one sides(http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3801/alpasite.jpg)
Using the cross fire method you should be able to easily get to the 4th set on Heroic(Warning Results may vary as you do not have the almighty moose0030 on your team)
Oh and a basic tip for all firefight maps is to USE PLASMA. This will save you more ammo especially when bullets don’t do any damage to their shields.
For the Bonus get a rocket or Fuel Rod and aim toward the window where the grunt jump out shoot there just when the round starts That should get you some serious points. Also never stop moving as the raining grunts start raining grenades on you and well it ain’t pretty.
Well that’s all I remember. And happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you all. Bon Soir, mes amies.
Hey everyone, this is the not so shotty Samer. I’d say Scoped Pistola SamerS but that just doesn’t should as cool. Anyways, on with the tip.
On Crater, I found a great counter action to our new best friends, the Brute Chieftain. The area that is right outside of the Spawn/Ammo area. If you still don’t have it in you mind, its the balcony with the turret spawn on it. When you have only Chieftain(s) left, it time to run away. I have a circle route that I pull. When he is getting close, jump off the balcony and land by the escape pod. If any other brutes are left, back up underneath the balcony to regain your health. Then when you see the chieftain catch up, start running upstairs and keep laying fire on him. Don’t go straight up but jump and skip part of it.
It seems kinda crazy but by the time the chief runs down to find you, stamina will recharge in time by the time he is close enough. I’ve only done this on my own but you need good comunication to work with a 4-man group.
And last thing, when Catch turns on, try to start getting more sticks. There are alot opf spawning nades and when ever brutes/grunts are throwing them, they stay still and it gets predicable.
Alright, well thanks for reading my submition . Sorry if it was kinda long. Shout outs to Razza optix obsideonccho. And check out http://endeavorpodcast.blogspot.com/
where he will have the podcast and sigh up on the forums when you have the chance.
SamerS OUT!
Hey guys, Arby here!
Just thought I’d give a tip I found that greatly helped me on my 200’000 run on this level (Crater), I suppose it applies to other levels as well.
With Engineers I find the best way to tackle them is to hit them with an EMP blast from your plasma pistol then take them down with your SMG. That brings me to my other point: Use the plasma pistol as much as you can. It really shows its usefulness when the Tilt skull is turned on. One EMP on the brutes and a well aimed automag shot to the head will take care of the brutes in under 5 seconds.
Oh yeah, and I’d also like to take the time to rub it in all your faces that I got ODST before you… Besides Woooof probably.
Keep on fraggin trucks.
Arby
Hey Podtacular, Old Regime here with another tip for firefight. Crater is a tight map were hunters and brute chieftains can destroy a team. But my main advice has to do with covie snipers. They’re really annoying and spawn high up the map on the rooftops of buildings across the street. An accurate sniper (like me :]) can get them down before they do too much damage, but if you don’t kill them right as they drop in a new wave, you’re screwed and will be wondering why your health is dropping even when nobody is near you. Anyways, thats all for me.
Keep on fraggin people who say they’ll leave their xbox on so that you can get Endure but two minutes later they sign out and the next day say it’s because their controller disconnected and nobody believes him/her.
End Transmission
Here are some general tips for the Firefight mode in Halo 3: ODST.
1. Don’t die.
2. Grav Hammer is a good weapon to use if you get rushed by a bunch on brutes, try to keep one with you at all times.
3. TEAMWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be sure to help your teammates out if they need it.
That’s all I have right now cause i have to play it a friends houses since i don’t own an Xbox.
Keep On Fragging.
Hey guys its Cron0s117 here with my first submission!!! Now im going to give you guys some tips that I think will be helpful for Firefight on Crater. First of all you should try to have someone immediately get the sniper so that they can pick guys off through the waves, this is also very helpful when trying to kill the enemy sniper at the end of the wave without trying to go up to him and using your pistol. Another thing is the turret, you should use it to its full effect because when the invisible brutes come, it will be destroyed quickly by the flame grenades they throw. My final tip (as with all the levels) is to try and kill the chieftains from a distance so as not to be smashed under their grav hammers, because a lot of the time you will find yourself turned one way up the staircase thinking you’re safe and you get pummeled from behind(and watch out for those with fuel rod cannons) So remember work together and you should have a long run! This is Cron0s117 signing out. I’m going to keep this short and sweet: Keep on fraggin’ gold hunters until their anus armor falls off!!!
hi podtacular! its the big gooba fish again. its been a while since i have submitted but i assure you that i have still been listening to the show.
i was walking around sydney today and i noticed a bike tied up on the side of the footpath… but not just any bike.
this bike was actually a folding bike!
we now know that there are more people than just foo mo, who own a folding bike!
well that was my random little story for the day…. other than the fact that i won exactly seven consecutive lone wolves matches as well today :0.
keep on fragging noobs who scream “VEEDOWWW!” at any game other than slayer.
Just remember. Dont go swimming in the valhalla river…. you might get attacked by a BIG GOOBA FISH!
Yo podtac. The footer toileteer here with some stories from ODST! This game is amazing! Firefight is epic! My favourite memory of that is on alpha site while getting the vidmasters. We were doing well and on the last round and wave, we were fighting chieftains and fuel rod canners and we ran out of lives, myself and my other good teammate were surviving, but he got smacked In the face by a hammer, the chieftain started chasing me and whacked me right after I jumped in the air and didn’t die, I plasma charged him and changed to my half full automag, I was on a 1cm health and I took him Down! Hero medal and grun bonus round lives! Keep on fraggin’ Jackel snipers in Mombasa
hello podtacular its the 1 and only razza 119 here with tips fpr fire fight

keep on fraggin the noob who hacked my xbl account
Hey Dusty, G, and guest host! How are you all doing? I hope I got submission in early enough and it gets read on the show unlike last time.
First, Crater while you’re playing solo. Before the game starts, grab the rockets and drop them in the back room for easy access. Use your pistol and sub machine gun. Always stay behind cover and stay near where you spawn. When the catch skull turns on, grab a ton of grenades and never stop moving. When you stay still is when a grunt gets you with a sticky or a stalker gets you with firebomb.
Now with four people, have one person get the rockets, another get the sniper, and have one wait around for the chieftain round and get a hammer because it will be a killer to the jump-pack brutes. Have everyone stay near the turret except one person with the hammer and have him pwn some n00bz.
Alpha Site, one of my favorite firefight maps along with crater and lost platoon.
When playing solo, get the Spartan Laser and sub machine gun. When ever you see a wraith on a phantom, try and shoot the wraith off of the ship before it even lands. Stay near your spawn point and behind cover and you will succeed,
With four people one person needs the Spartan Laser and sub machine gun, another person needs pistol and sniper, the next needs rockets and sub machine gun, and the last needs the next power weapon that drops such as a hammer or fuel rod gun. Give your laser to the player with the best aim rather than give him the sniper because I’ve learned taking out wraiths on a phantom is a tough skill. Give the sniper to who ever is also a good aim, but not as good as your Laser guy. Make sure he has a pistol so he can scope out some grunts without wasting sniper ammo. Give the rockets to your n00b. Make sure he doesn’t waste them and he should have a sub machine gun because the pistol is useless unless you use it correctly and get head shots. Have the person with no power weapons be your best player with the most all around skill. Be resourceful and don’t die!
Alright guys, thanks for making an amazing Podcast and doing great things for the Halo community overall! I would donate, but my parents will not let me. :( Keep on fraggin’ trucks that gave me swine flu and made me miss my first homecoming dance and homecoming game. :(
Hey guyz whats up. Havn’t submitted something in ages to its time to make amends.
Well Firefight what can is say. It’s ok to begin. A bit long to get into, for example you have to play for at least 1 and a half hours for Vidmaster Endure, which i have tried and failed 7 times (Irony i know). Crater is a good small map for newcomers while the night version is hard because engineers come out which 2x the covenants health. Alpha site is a popular for Endure but a bad map for normal play. The problem is that enemies come in at both sides which can be hard when others don’t co-operate and share sides.
Shout outs to Arby, Fungus Oz, Dusty, Gman, Chuckie, Lance, Deathaboveus and all my other friends.
Keep on fraggin all the Endure quitters
Hello, fellow members of Podtacular. It is me, Tyler. I have some tips for Alpha Site and Crater today.
Alpha Site is one of the easiest maps to control with many power weapons aligning the walls. The rocket launcher should only be used during the last wave. The shotgun should only be used on the last wave as well. With the tilt skull on, the sniper rifle is only useful for jackals and grunts.
The same can be said about Crater with a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher. However, there are two shield door entrances on the sides.
Lastly, when dealing with an engineer, you should use either the fully charged plasma pistol or any grenade besides the frag. You can also assassinate them at close range.
Shout-outs to GLewis, ChuckieJ, and Dust Storm!
Keep on fraggin’ trucks that are the epitome of epic!
Hi podtacular it’s the big gooba fish and I am sending in my tips for the odst firefight map “crater”!
First of all I would just like to point out that crater is one of the less exiting firefight maps but is still pretty fun. Make sure your team communicates well and you all get along. You may want to specialise your team’s weapon choices. E.g. one person snipes, one person with heavy weapons (hammer and fuel rod), one person with the noob combo and one person on the turret. This way your team can take care of all the different enemies with ease. This is especially important when tilt activates
It is also important to stick together on this map. Do not wander off or you will get raped.
In the last wave of a round, when the hammertime brutes attack, your team should fall back into the spawn room for epic tunnel battle.
When mythic turns on put twice the amount of shots in!
That’s all I have for now. Sorry for the long submission but I can assure you that my grammar an spelling was flawless!
Just remember. don’t go swimming in the Valhalla river… you might get attacked by a BIG GOOBA FISH!
