Hey Podtac!
This is Arrowhead896 and I wanted to clear up some confusion about humans, Forerunners, and Precursors. According to Cryptum, the humans had built a massive intergalactic empire 100,000 years before the events of Halo: CE. Allying with the Prophets, they had a sufficient technology level to compete with the Forerunners. However, they were attacked by the Flood, and as the Flood infected more and more human worlds, the humans were forced to invade Forerunner worlds. The humans eventually managed to take out all the Flood by injecting 1/3 of their population with special Flood-killing genes and sacrificing that part of their population to beat the Flood back for a while. The Forerunners beat the humans though, and forcibly devolved them and destroyed their entire civilization. When the Forerunners activated the Halo Rings, 9000 years later, the humans had managed to redevelop steam technology and were designated by the Forerunners as the Reclaimers, before being indexed to b e protected from the Halo Rings. This forced them to start over, and it took them another 90,000 years to get to where they were at the start of Halo: CE.
The Precursors are an older race that created the Forerunners before the Forerunners rebelled and essentially wiped them out. At the time of Cryptum, there is at least 1 survivor whose whereabouts are unknown. All Precursor structures were destroyed by the activation of the Halo Rings.
Sorry about the long submission, but this is just to help inform everyone of some Halo history. Keep fragging noobs who use aimbots.

[1] Hey Guys love the show.
My question relates to halo 4 and the new trilogy. I’d like to ask if you think that now 343 Guilty Spark has been destroyed will the other Monitors and their respective rings play any part in future Halo games. I think they will be involved for two reasons:
[2] I have a couple of quick questions.
Thanks for the show I cannot wait for November 15.
Hey Podtacular! it’s Proxator with my opinion on the possible implications of Halo 4 for the series as a whole. First off, obviously we know that Master Cheif will return once more to battle an unknown entity. Perhaps these enemies are the Precursors that the Forerunners spoke of (hence the reason why perhaps a Forerunner series of books are being written to shed some light on both the Forerunners as well as the Precursors). Personally I hope it doesn’t take this direction(we’ve already seen this similar scenario with the Reapers in Mass Effect).
Anyways that’s just my 2cents. Keep on fragging trucks!
Dear Podtacular,
I’d have to say one of my favorite story moments was at the end of Ghosts of Onyx when Mendez, Halsey, Fred, Kelly and others were in the shield world. It felt like a new beginning in the lives of the characters and left a huge possibility open for a sequel that could go many different ways. I think we’ll see them all again in maybe Glasslands or perhaps even Halo 4. The structure that Master Chief is floating towards could be the shield world that the aforementioned crew is in and Chief will finally reunite with his teammates. Plus, it would be awesome having some of the expanded universe characters in the games with voice actors and everything, though we did get Halsey in Reach.
As for the Terminals in Anniversary, I think they’ll provide more info/lore on the Forerunners and Halo rings that will become very important in Halo 4 plus maybe answer some longtime series questions.
Keep fraggin’ the people who use Armor Lock
Sincerely,
