Hosts: Dust Storm
If there is one thing you could change about any weapon, what weapon and what change would it be?
the br. The sound is so awful, change it back to something cool.
As in how they handle in Matchmaking? Spartan Laser. I'd increase its power output so that it's comparable to H3.
I would make the boltshot explode in the users face whenever they try to one shot kill with their noob weapon.
I feel like the Incineration cannon could use a larger blast radius. It's way underpowered in the current sandbox.
The color of the energy sword blade. ;D
I would make the BR fire rockets... <.<
Remove the Railgun's aim assist completely. Perhaps extend the timer to shoot as it's too easy to use for a 1-shot power weapon.
The Magnum. I'd make it a 4SK so you can get 2 kills per magazine. Maybe make the Flagnum a 3SK, but give it longer reload time.
The Boltshot's charge damage. :P
Boltshot. Removed from Halo for good. (I hate that weapons...)
Bolt shot: That it was ever created.
Either the battle rifle more accurate or the dmr less accurate...
Howie Bring back the suppressor for the smg
The laser was ruined it needs to go back to how it was on halo 3
Plasma pistol. Revert back to Halo 1 strength. Keep the vehicle disabling part.
I think the bolshot range sould be tweaked to 25 feet or so.. I think everyone will LOVE it!
Sniper rifle bigger magazine more ammo
Remove the concussion rifle and replace it with the brute shot. More iconic weapon. Also nerf plasma pistol charge up stun time for vehicles. And remove boltshot from existence. Of course none of this would need to happen if you didn't spawn with customizable loadouts.
Semi-auto battle rifle instead of burst
Hey Podtacular, long time listener, I always enjoy your show and eagerly await each podcast. I have three comments.
1. I know you are going to start doing more shows about the lore, the books, the story, different Halo communities, etc. This is wonderful. Have you ever thought about doing a show about the music of Halo? Have a couple of community members on who are huge fans and maybe compare and contrast Marty O'Donnel's music to Neil Davidge's, likes and dislikes. I have noticed you use my personal favorites from the Halo 4 soundtrack to open and close the show, clips from "Arrival" and "To Galaxy". What made you choose those?
2. It seems like what everybody really wants from Halo 4 multiplayer is actually Halo 3 type gameplay. The three major things people seem to have a problem with in Halo 4 seem to be global/personal ordinance, weapon loadouts and armor abilities. It will be interesting to see just how much 343 listens to the community over Halo 5. Everybody has conflicting interests and they can't possibly satisfy everybody. I don't see them taking away weapon loadouts and armor abilities, these things are way to ingrained now within the Halo franchise. I would propose that they get rid of ordinance drops, and DO use weapon loadouts but go back to the Reach method of them not being customizable. Or at least only customizable with the main rifles DMR/BR/Carbine/Light Rifle and maybe grenade types. This way all the other weapons can still spawn on the map and weapons like the plasma pistol and boltshot will go back to not being overpowered just by the fact that players spawn with them. This would also improve vehicle survival. As for armor abilities, I would make them like how they are used in Team Throwdown, as pickups, just like equipment in Halo 3. This way you could still have them but they won't ruin a map because an entire team won't be using them.
Understand I do love Halo 4, it is a wonderful if flawed game. No complaints on the campaign or spartan ops. And all things aside, the game is still fun, which is the most important thing obviously. These changes were made by 343 to bring something new to the franchise and to bring it more in line with modern shooters and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. What haven't we seen in Halo multiplayer yet that you feel could bring something new to the franchise but not be totally game-breaking or un-Halo like? Sorry this was so long, and keep up the great work.
