Tips show (explain)
When you are playing a level such as Zanzibar where there are fusion cores
near the Flag/bomb plant zone run into the cores as fast as you can and
hopefully you will knock them over.
When they are on the floor push them into place by the flag/bomb plant
zone, stand out of sight with a weapon of choice (preferably BR) and wait
for someone to steal the flag or plant the bomb (usually they will be in
such a hurry they won’t see you and think of the core as a threat) and
BOOM…down they go!
This is a little known fact about the advantage you have if you use
surround sound why you are playing Halo 2.Surround sound speakers are a
noteable advantage when playing Halo 2. You will actually hear explosions,
gunfire and even footsteps from the direction that they are taking place.
Imagine the advantage of suddenly being shot and hearing the direction the
shot came from. Imagine hearing the boom of a sniper rifle and knowing the
general direction from which the shot was fired. Imagine your fear as you
hear the sudden twang of a energy sword unsheathed directly behind you…
Tips on turf> What i like to do on turf like most people i go for the
nearest rifle rather it be a BR or The Snip (Prefably i like to get both)
I usally like to stick around the Snip Area never stop moving Accasionaly
i will go for more snip rounds and make a circle around the map. alot of
grenades and crouch walken usually gives me about an averege of about
16-20 kills on turf.
If u have a good team and stick around the sniper area watching all sides
there really shouldn’t be a reason to loss. communiction.
if this is any help ok if not sorry this is just what i do and it works
for me.
My tip is for people with the S-type xbox controllers. The sensitivity on
the thumbsticks weres down with usage so up your look sensitvity after a
year. And in halo 1, you can walk faster with the D-pad.
Hey! I have some good general tips and some tips for the map of the week
turf. One good sword tip is to keep the crosshair on your enemy. This
keeps you from just lungeing at them and missing. Also always jump right
before you hit your enemey. This keeps you from flying off the map. A
good sniping tip for turf is to go over to the medical tent. Next you
jump on the second wooden plank sticking out of the building on the left. Then you jump onto an open window where you will then jump to the ledge in
front of you. Be careful not to jump to early or you’ll hit your head and
fall back down. From the ledge you turn around and jump to the top of the
building. This is a really good sniping spot as long as you have a
teammate helping to guard you. That’s all. Love the show!! Keep up the
good work!
In turf there are a lot of great spots to camp. My favorite is above the
brute shot. Get up there and let the heads fly as you pick them off one by
one with your sniper. My gamertag is Kicksave1080
P.S. Another great spot to camp is the high wall opposite the shotgun. It
gives you a good view of almost the whole map. Nearly untouchable with a
sniper or Br.
for turf…
This is great for Team Slayer. It doesnt get you lots and lots of kills but
you will have at least 10 and barely any deaths. You first need to get
Brute Plasma Rifle and duel weild it with your SMG you dont specifically
need it, its just that its the most powerful combo on the map, then go to
the street that is between the Scarab and the Med. Hut. Its the one with
the big blue box in the center, it’s good for camping because there are
many roof tops you can jump on and you can run around the box for cover. All you have to do is sit still and use your radar
Alright for Turf just make sure your team controls the sniper rifle, br’s
and the shotgun. If your team camps out around the medical camp and the
warthog spawn you will have a good long range advantage. Another strategy
is to camp out near the brute plasma rifle spawn and away from the sniper.
Its also vital to control the noob combo if you dont control the sniper.
This is for team slayer
If you want to be cheap, when your close combat, and you both have no
shield, click the croutch button and press B.You will kill them but dont
think your so good ‘cause its a nubish move
When dual wielding the SMG and PR and at close range with an enemy, just
shoot them for about half a second. Then melee and they should be dropped
before they get a chance to shoot you twice with a BR.
if you have the rockets dont get the ammo unless you run out of ammo, if
you are getting killed and you have the rockets, or sniper in this case,
it is best to shoot out as much ammmo as you can so that the other team
doesnt have as much power with the power weapon you are using, back to the
rockets this forces the other team to go get the ammo, on the maps wehre
there is extra rocket ammo the guy going to get it us quite vulnerable. so
if u get killed and the other guy gets rockets and trys to go for the ammo
you can most likely get your rockets back.
Best way to melee in games like boxing: Melee as you almost get in range of
the enemy, and also, switch to the Boxer Control Scheme. Did you know: BXR
and BXB are easier with Boxer for your control scheme. Finally, I have
given in. I now use the default control scheme, not Green Thumb.
i play coag alot on Halo, Halo 2, and Halo PC. so i know of somethings you
should do or not do on this map.
Well, its a funny tip to clean your discs if they ever get scratched or
something. First you take the disc and stick it IN YOUR TOILET. Make sure
you turn it upside down and then flush, again DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE IT
COVERS THE HOLE. Once you finish take it out and dry it with watever, wash
your hands, then get back to playing that game. This really gets your disc
working as good as new…trust me.
The reason to why I Pwn noobs, like samanator, is basically because I try to think out side the box while playing. Go to places your opponent wouldn’t think you’d go, or trying doing something so noobish that it actually works.
For Example, the Sniper ramp on lockout, never go there, unless needed. Its a spot where people wait for an easy kill. There are many different ways to get to the Second Level of the sniper tower like the “shortcut” or by jumping up onto the ledges from the bottom floor. To get good at manuvering around maps take sometime jumping around each map to find the best ways it is for you to get the upper hand. Play by yourself learning each pixel of the map, so you dont have to worry about a thing while playing.
Another reason to why i pwn is because of communication. Without communication a team is basically four people going on their own, which typically wont work. Call out when you see an opposing player telling where he is and if he has a power weapon or not. This will greatly help you and your teamates throughout the game.
So for all you noobs out there who wanna become a level 25 like the G use these tips and get yourself better. Once you think your good enough hit me at with a PM asking for a shot at the all-stars.
TRIPLE WIELDING
Here is the process:2 teams. 1 Flag. It’s the ultimate battle for superiority.
On Zanzibar, the stakes are even higher. A seawall, a huge metal fan, and
a high security base stand between you and the flag.
Here are my tips for CTF on Zanzibar:
1 – When you first spawn, make sure to tell your teammates that if you
don’t win, you’ll force their girlfriends to work in a Korean sweatshop.
Sadly, only one person other than you on your team actually has a
girlfriend.
2 – If you get the sniper rifle, treat it like it is your own infant
daughter. Change it’s diaper, cradle it when it cries, and if your fat
enough, breast feed it.
3 – A good manuever that you can make to kill the defensive team involves
a drive-thru window, Sesame Seed buns, and 3 grease traps. Just set up a
McDonalds over at the Defensive Base and watch the heart attacks begin!
4 – If their is a ghey guy on your team, let him grab the flag when you
run into the enemy base. He’s better at grasping the pole.
5 – If you’re one of the smart people that saves the Warthog for when your
team has the flag, you need to have a designated spot to pick up the flag
carrier. Just make sure you get him back home before 11 P.M., or else his
dad will get mad at him.
Hey, Here Is A Tip For Some Halo Ce Players. Hen Playing Hugeass, Get The
C4. Also, Use The Pelicans. They May Not Have Nukes Like The Longsword,
But The Have Homing Rocket. Have 2 Other People In It So You Fly In , Land
, 1 Get The Flag While One Stays Behind. The One Who Stays Behind Plats The
C4 And Stays. It Might Count As A Suicide, But It May Have Saved The Day.
Also, If A Host Says, Hey, No Teabaggin, Teabag Once More Get Banned, And
Change Your Ip
(discussion about halo ce)
Don’t whine when somebody swords or shotties or rockets you. Nobody said you couldn’t use those weapons too!
If you are the poor soul who has to arm the bomb, WAIT TILL YOU HAVE SOME BACKUP! You won’t believe how many times our bomb guy has rushed into the enemie base with out any help, and lost us a round. It irks me to no end.
Rush powerups, duh. Or, you could set up a trap, using the power up as bait.
Pratice with a few buds. Never frag alone. Trust me, it always helps to have a buddy who knows your play style, and can compliment it.
Communication is the key. Keep the channels of communication open. Tell what you see, when you see it, and how you’re seein it. Why use voice chat to call others names, when you can warn your teammates of 4 guys trying to grab the flag on the left side of the base? exactly.
Don’t walk around in 10x zoom with the Sniper riffle. That doesn’t mean never zoom either, find a good balance.
If you’re gonna dual weild, (who dual weilds anymore?), then stiuck with one human and one covie weapon. Except the needler, nobody likes the needler. I’d suggest the plasma riffle and the SMG, but that might be just me.
Practice your combos. Weither it’s BXR, BXB, YYB, ABXRYABBR (i might’ve made that last one up) practice them! You might find that they help you. And besides, all the MLG guys are doing it, so why aren’t you?
An interesting tip to use in matchmaing is when you are engaging the enemy
in close quarters with a BR, it is helpful to Melee, reload/crouch, then
melee again. Though this isn’t as quick as BXR, it is extremely useful
when you don’t have a full clip. This is essentially the same thing as
BXB, but crouching prevents the enemy from meleeing you. This comes in
especially handy when your opponent has a BR and tries to BXR you.
Keep up the good work and shout out to the people at run-around.com.
Also… In Rumble Slayer games on lockout, a good gambit would be to get hold of a
BR, and a Sword/Shotgun, and to camp the sniper tower. Usually people
coming up the side ramp of the tower will be carrying a combo of some
sort, and by making good use of your motion tracker and short range
weopon, I can attest that an enemy coming through said entry point will
not be problematic. Using your BR, you can sweep up straglers in the
midle or grav lift. It would be in your favor if you sacrificed a gernade
to blow up the fusion cores in front of the sniper. Though I’ve played
games where I substituted a sniper for BR, it usually doesn’t turn out
that well because the ammo limitation of the sniper poses a problem. It
would also be a good idea to temporarily pick up the sniper before your
blow up the fusion cores, so it doesm’t fall into enemy hands.
If you ever come across a someone that is annoying, there is a little thing
called the mute button. Press “Y” to go into your friends list, find the
players name and select “Mute player.”
The mute button works wonders, you should try using it some time!
I’ve found that most people at some point inevitably run into the wall of
cheaters and stand-byers on their way up in the ranks. One solution I have
found is once you hit the blue screen is to just unplug the ethernet cord
from your XBOX. This will cause you to disconnect, ending the game not
allowing the stand-byer to rack up points. I’ve talked to some friend who
have done it and it works fairly well. Keep in mind this will still cause
you to lose, but is a nice way to stick-it to stand-byers. Not really a
game strategy but an anti-cheater tactic.
From: S D TEK TIV
I just wanted to submit some tips for the new playlists:
In Team SWAT:
You run faster with the flag in your hands.
In Team SWAT on Beaver Creek: When an enemy is camping on the
roof of a base, there’s two ways you can take him out without being
out-in-the-open. If he’s camping the top of the teleporter, just walk
through the teleporter backwards with your reticule aimed where you think
his head will be as you walk through.
Another way you can take out any enemy who’s on a roof of a base is to
stand under one of the skylights and jump up, poking the top half your
body out like a prairie dog. You won’t be able to stand on the roof this
way, but you can still shoot the people who are standing on the roof
without having to get on the roof, it works because in Team SWAT it only
takes one headshot per person, and you don’t have to run out in the open
to get to them.
In the start of the game, if you spawn near the front entrance of a base,
consider standing in the entrance with your cross hairs on the other
base’s entrance. Chances are that in the first minute of the game, a few
enemies will try to exit the front entrance or run across the creek,
making for easy pickins.
In Big Team Skirmish You can find a match with eight people, even if a player on your team’s rank is ridiculously high or low.
a feature of Xbox LIVE that even high rank people don’t take advantage
of is the “appear offline” feature. If you plan to be in the game menu
for 5 hours and 30 minutes, why not appear offline? This is a good idea
also if you want to play campaign mode and not recieve a lot of messages.
Just remember to “appear online” again once you get back from wherever,
because I’ve found it is easy to forget about it since I am just starting
to use this feature.
“The Claw Configuration”
Left Hand-
Thumb on stick, Index Finger on Left Trigger
Right Hand-
Thumb on stick, Middle Finger on Right Trigger
Index finger above the 4 buttons (Y, X, B, A) Giving you near instant access to those when needed. This might be unconfortable when you first handle it but once you get used to it, it won’t matter at all. However if you should feel any unfortability with it for a long time I suggest to not use it.
Heres my tip for Midship. When going up the grav lifts in each base,
instead of running or jumping straight into them so you go flying way up
into the air and allow the enemy a clear shot at you, you can walk into
the lift without jumping into it, and hold left or right depending on what
base your at. This will make it so you don’t get the full force of the
lift’s propulsion, and pop up over the edge of the base, allowing you to
surprise your enemy.
(ps I might not have explained that too well, maybe pod tv could do it
better)
BRx
Tired of cancelling out your melee to early with BxR? Then BRx is for you.
You need a full clip of ammo, and it works best with a br. Press B, hold R
and then press x, this will result in the shot and the melee coming in at
almost the same time, but with no chance of cancelling the melee out.
im not the best sniper around, but when im on a map like coag, i like to
hide in the shadows. if u are standing in the middle of the map, in the
sun, u will die quicker. also, in hide and seek on relic, have any of u
hid on top of the downed pelican and crouched into the ledge. works great.
shoutouts to Rec. D…even though i am not in it anymore, but cuz they are
cool people.
Ok, a tip for Team Swat Classic on Lockout is to never stand still. Also,
well at least I do, stay scoped most of the time. Staying zoomed on the
bottom floors gives you a wider profile of their head, hence, an easier
headshot. shoutouts to Darkchaos and Eagertheclone.
Having the low ground in most cases on smaller levels can give you the
advantage. It reduces the chance of being hit by a frag grenade, rocket,
or brute shot grenade, and allows for an easier jumping melee, and easier
grenade, rocket, and brute shot grenade placement.
Use the ledge on the inside of the sniper tower on Lockout to your
advantage in FFA games. It can be used to catch enemies off guard and can
be a deadly place for a good sniper to hide, likewise always make sure you
check that none of your enemies are camping there!
On Midship in 3v3 to 5v5 games have a teammate spot players on the map
from Pink 3, the area over the needler spwan in the top middle. This can
really solidify a defence in flag games.
Power weapons make great bait in any situation. Cover these locations with
a sniper rifle to rack up the kills.
When playing on Lockout remember that you can see people at the sword
spwan from the sniper spawn.
heres just a little tip i found out on Warlock that
u can do that might help you out.
during ctf or assault games you must go into another persons base, and the
most common way now is to go from the platform in front of it and be
completely seen. this way is used because its hard to control the air vent
and u usually get heard/shot while still coming down. well heres my tip :
if you jump and hold crouch at the peak of your jump into the airvent, you
can eliminate the flying part and just crouch walk into the base (or
beatdown the camper with the shotty). if you already knew about it, sorry
to waste time :)
Hey podtacular my friend Eagerthe Clone taught me this. When your in close
combat situation you should always try to jump over them and turn in
mid-air so you face your opponent(s). When you land if the person hasn’t
realized whats happened then you go and assasinate them. you can also try
and attack them in mid-air. If you forget to turn around in mid-air then
you might get assasinated so be careful. Another way to do is if your
running toward your opponent. You can try jumping over toward them which then works like the last section. jump to early and you’ll land infront of
your opponent, to late, and you’ll go flying over and when you land he’ll
shoot you, but jump right and you should land behind him which results in
a assasination.
i got some button comboes like B x B when you get close 2 some1 if uve
already used some shots so you cant B X R. but insted of just unsing B X B
after u use the first maylay (hey it rymes) :) crouch this causes them 2
miss thier may lay (hey) you can easily kill them. also for lockout ive
got a good grenade if u have a battle rifle. when in the back of the BR
tower where it connest 2 the library place ur BR (zoomed in)onto the conre
of the library and throw a nade. it should land on the elbow its great
kille dmany ppl w. this. By the way love the show keep it up
Beaver creek: Behind the red base on beaver creek there are two trees in the back left
hand corner. You can jump between the wall and the tree , get stuck, and
jump on top of that tree, and jump again to get to the next tree. This is
a great sniping spot. I’ve done it twice and no one could find me. Keep up
the great work with the podcast guys, and keep on doin the gernade and
trunck thingy or watever the hell we do now.
Also… When you get near the oversheild ramp it’s a good idea to jump and hide in
the little trees and plants when you have a shotie or sword. With the rush
that every one gets in matchmaking games alot of times people will forget
to check there leaving them open for a kill. Also on the airlift by the
ramp you can walk alongside the wall and jump then crouch to get in the
corner of the lift. This works great if you have a dark colored carachter.
Keep up the great work guys!!!
A tip for players who just can’t figure out the “Low” games where everyone
on the team must have a certain number of kills or a certain amount of
time: For slayer games, have someone team with whoever can’t get the kills
and carry a plasma pistol. Basically the noob combo but with 2 people. In
oddball, give the ball to better shooters so once they have the time, they
can protect the others who need the time. Not necessarily the greatest
strategy but i’ve found that it is a good strategy if only one or two
players on the team are great at firefights.
While playing objective gametypes (CTF, Assault) on Gemini, don’t be afraid
to use the teleporters. Make the other team defend different directions. If
you only come up the ramps and grav-lift, the enemy only has to defend one
area. If you send two up the ramps, one through the back teleporter and 1
through one of the two that end up on top, the enemy has many different
directions they have to defend and it opens up their defense, making it
easier to kill them and grab flag, plant the bomb, etc.
When playing CTF or Assault on Colossus, use the containers on the conveyor
belts as cover. Start on the at the opposite end of the base and crouch
behind one of the containers, then just ride along, slowly rotating to
stay out of site from the other team. When you get to the hole that drops
them down ot the lowest level, Step off of the conveyor belt and sneak up
the ramp as close to the base as you can. If done correctly, you should
have made it all the way to the opponents base undetected. Obviously this
is not a garauntee, but its has seldom not worked for me. Usually the
reason why this tactic fails, is because there is an opponent standing
next to the conveyor belt shooting at the other side or because there are
3 or more people defending the opponents base.
Hey everyone I have a few grenade tips for you guys that will hopefully
help. The first is if you have an enemy following you or around in the
next room hiding and you know where he is, throw a grenade against the
wall and try to bounce it to their general area, which will most of the
time take out their shields and sometimes even kill them. This is pretty
simple but alot of times people forget about it. Another thing is if
someone is following you closely, and you are in a room with a short
ceiling, throw a grenade up at the ceiling and most of the time it will
fall right by them without them knowing you throw it. I hope these helped.
Keep up the good work guys and foo mo i liked the bungie interview.
I have a tip for Zanzibar Team slayer that works alot of the
time. If you are winning and the people on your team quit, try to get the
sniper and go out to the right side of the water if you’re looking towards
it and theres a little spot where the wall goes in a little. If you get
behind that, they cant see you and you can crouch and camp there until
they come to the beach. You can usually get easy kills that way without
them killing you unless they are travelling in packs. Thats all i have for
now, keep fraggin trucks!
Here’s a tip for Snipers on Terminal (my favorite map.
Now we all know what happens when you play the Team Snipers on Terminal
right? Both teams rush the garage don’t they? Gets kind of annoying and
cliché’ don’t cha think? We’ll if that’s what you’re teams good at
then keep at it, but if the other team gets the garage before you, here
are two alternative entrances for taking hold of it again. The easiest way
to get in unnoticed is through the back way where the wraith spawns. Have
one of your buddies, hop on top of the trashcan near the shotgun and have
you’re teammates stand on top of their head. Now you have access through
the back way! Once you get through here you can surprise the enemy and
they’ll be double-you-tee-effing all the way through
The other entrance is a bit tricky and requires some EXTREAMEEE crouch
jumping. From the blue base (where the warthog spawns) reach the top floor
near where you would return the flag in CTF. Make sure at this point you
are on the right side of the pillar in from of you. From here jump on the
middle square like platform that holds the tracks together but be sure to
look both ways before crossing (damn train). From here look up ahead of
you and you’ll be almost at level with the second floor of the garage.
Make a quick crouch jump farther to the right, and you shud get in.
I play mostly MLG settings for a while now. So much in fact, that the last
time I played regular TS I merely got a few kills, I couldn´t cope with
the loss of my precious BR. But if you want a few tips for MLG settings
team slayer, I can surely help out. The first and most important thing is
awareness. You have to know where the enemy is, how many of them are alive
and preferably which weapons they have. The way to do this is by pressing
your back button before charging and by comunicating with your team often.
Awareness is also necesary when deciding what to do, is your clip full?
which type of nades are you holding?
s3econdly and most importantly, Halo 2 is all about outsmarting the
opposition, try to be as unpredictable as possible, throw random granades,
use shortcuts, u know the drill, but dont do the same thing all the time!
And lastly, on close encounters, glitch, glitch all the way out of the
mess, bxb, bxr and nade reloads are your friends, master them and use them
often. Don´t mind the folks at bungie saying is cheating. That is the only
way to survive at higher levels, and nobody will leave you feedback for
that, as I said, At high levels it is kind of expected.
I have several Tips for Turf on Team Slayer or Team Snipers. Anyways by the
Plasma Pistol spawn by the warehouse u can just jump onto a pipe just to
the right of the pistol. You can then preform a multiple series of crouch
jumps to get high up onto the map. You then have a clear view of the ramp
that most people on Turf charge the Scarab area and the entire Warthog
spawn area. Great BR/Sniper Spot. I have another tip about spotting superjumpers. Alright as soon as you see
someone trying to bounce, throw a grenade in the general area that they are
going to land. This shakes their screen and disrupts there bounce.
Sometimes it screws them up and sometimes it doesnt.
Also the best thing to go head to head with Ghost/Banshees are Dual SMG’s.
While not really damaging the player inside the SMG’s tear apart the
vehicle..so u can destroy the vehicle without having to take the person
inside out.
This tip comes to you from FUR10NS Guest. In the bases around warlock, if
you are facing the airlift from the inside of the base, look to the right
and up a little. There is a ledge their and if you jump and crouch just
right you can ride the airlift up into the ledge. You have to jump from
the inside of the base and so far i have only been able to do it in the
red and yellow base. No one will ever be able to see you there and it is
a perfect spot to camp for defending the base or just camping.
I’ve Learned that if u stay between the scarib and the little hallway
looking towards the street and were the noob combo is they mostly spawn
right infront of u. then it’s open season but watch your left side because
they might come up from the tent side. i did this in 2 rounds yesterday
giving me about 15 to 20 kills in those games.
When you’re on Gemini, always go for the battle rifle. Most people on this
map like to use dual plasma rifles or the sword. Since only the smarter
players go for the carbine and other BR, you can just kill of anyone
before they can even hit you with their plasma rifle.
The BxB is essential for winning most close encounters and is eaiser to
learn and perform then the BxR and almost as effective. While a BxR will
still beat a BxB. Knowing how to BxB well will give you an edge in melee
combat and in heads up battles. To do a good BxB the first thing to
remember is you cannot have a full clip or the BxB won’t work. First press
B to punch now when the punch hits press X to cancel the rest of the
animation then when the clip is being taken out of the weapon usually a BR
perss B again to finish the job remember pressing X to fast will cancel the
punch animation entirely including the damage.
Remember when trying to dodge sniper fire or BR shots jumping
usually only makes things worse for you as while jumping you fall quite
slowly to the ground. Another thing to remember is the quick reload which is very helpful for
team sniper games while in close range no-scope battles. The reload is
quite easy to do as long as you get the timing down it can be done with
any weapon with a clip using the BR as an example when the clip is being
removed press YY quickly and tou will have a full clip without the whole
animation.
The one thing that will set you apart from other level 30’s is PATIENCE. Never run into a situation without first thinking it over. One example is on Lockout, if you spawn near the BR tower, don’t blinding rush the sniper area because the chances that the other team is over there about to get the sniper is high. Always try to find a good weapon before running into a firefight and never feel like you need to draw first blood. It is much better to go in with a team full of BRs and strong close-range combos (Plasma rifle/SMG) than just strictly single SMGs. Patience also comes in handy when you have the lead. Don’t feel like you need to run out to kill the other team when you have a commanding lead (5 frags or higher). Just be patient and wait for them to come because chances are, you have the power weapons and they have nothing.

I’ve gotten so many emails about this that I need to clarify: right now we’re not scheduling any new guest hosts, just ones that have been on the show before. It may change in the future, but only very active community members get to be guest hosts.
also If anyone had problems putting Pod TV episode 3 on their iPod Videos, just re-download it. It should work now.
